Calvin University, a private Christian university in Grand Rapids, MI, continues its long tradition of offering The January Series, “one of the leading lecture and cultural arts series in the country.” For 15 consecutive weekdays (1/9 to 1/27), diverse speakers will touch on fascinating topics. SVWC has been one of 50 nationwide remote sites for the past five years, and residents can tune in on SVWC's internal TV station to view the presentations.
In fact, anyone can watch each day from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on their own devices from their own residences. Each lecture will be available for that entire day through midnight, via the Calvin University website. Though The January Series is free, interested parties have to register to watch online. Calvin recommends that you sign up early to receive daily email reminders with a link for every lecture. Or, beginning January 9, come back to The January Series website on the day(s) you want to tune in and click on the Watch Now button. You will need to complete a simple form that directs you to the day’s presentation. To learn more, go to https//calvin.edu/January-series/ or simply Google “JanuarySeries.”
