Jane Campbell was born in 1916 in Elmhurst, Illinois. Her mother taught art classes, and Jane began her life-long love of watercolor painting. She studied Home Economics in college and later traveled from town to town, toting her pots and pans in the back of her vehicle to teach for cooking schools. Married and widowed twice, Jane had three children, several stepchildren, and is now extremely close to her two grandchildren. Campbell found her way to Clarke County, where she worked for the Area Agency on Aging and was very involved with the Fish Foundation. When asked what her secret to longevity is, Jane says heredity is #1, and thanks to her education, she has always known what foods were healthy to eat. Just three years ago, SVWC hosted an art exhibit of Jane's watercolors in our Wappacomo Gallery. She is still very sharp and most definitely felt the love during her Birthday celebration. What an inspiration she is!
