Pre-COVID, our community welcomed outside guests into our Lawrence Art Gallery. We proudly hosted artists from the region and beyond to display their work for two months at a time. The opening receptions drew crowds from the area, and it was an ideal situation. However, since COVID, we have had to think out of the box to fill our Gallery.
Residents have shared their creations in multiple exhibits with much acclaim. Our latest show, "Treasures Shared," consists of incredible pieces that residents have collected from countries they have lived in or visited. The works are primarily from 20th and 21st-century artists, including local, well-known, and lesser-known artists. Again, the response has been fantastic. So much so that we plan to present a second installment in January 2022.
